About

Who are we?

Christ’s College Music Society is one of the college’s largest and most active societies, providing exciting opportunities to partake in and enjoy the rich musical life at college. Membership is free and open to all members of the college. Whatever your musical ability, or whether you just want to listen to some fantastic concerts, CCMS has something for you

What do we do?

Ensembles

The Music Society organises a variety of ensembles, open to students of any ability, including Pop Group, Folk Group, Jazz Group and Chamber Music.

Concerts/Recitals

We put on a weekly series of recitals (Fridays at 6pm with the occasional Monday at 7pm) with performances by both students and professional musicians. These recitals are free and anyone is welcome to attend!

Socials and other events

We also put on masterclasses, socials and, of course, our annual dinner! Our “Squash O’clock” recitals (with squash and biscuits) are a great chance to have a break during the intensity of exam term.

Membership of CCMS is free and open to all members of the College. If you would like to join our mailing lists, please subscribe here.

Please contact the committee if you would like more information about any section of CCMS.
